Terms of Service — Betablight

The TL;DR. Betablight is a free game. We provide it as-is. Don't try to cheat the leaderboard, harass other players, or repackage the App. If something goes wrong, we're not liable for it. Enjoy the void.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Betablight mobile application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Who we are

Betablight is published and operated by DILINX. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean DILINX. References to "you" mean the person using the App.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

You may not:

Modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive source code from the App, except where applicable law allows it.
Republish, sublicense, sell, lease, or rent the App.
Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
Use automated tools, bots, modified clients, memory editors, or scripts to interact with the App or submit scores you did not earn by playing.
Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

4. Accounts and user conduct

To appear on the global leaderboard you must sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in provider account secure.

You may choose a public display name ("username"). You agree that your username will not:

Impersonate another person or organization.
Contain hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise offensive content.
Infringe any trademark or other right.
Advertise, spam, or link to external services.

We may remove, reset, or anonymize usernames that break these rules, and may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly abuse them. Scores that were submitted through cheating may be removed at any time.

5. Intellectual property

The App and all its contents — code, art, audio, name, and brand — are the intellectual property of DILINX and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The Betablight name and logo are trademarks of DILINX.

You retain whatever rights you already had in your username and any other content you provide. By submitting a username to the leaderboard, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it in-App and on the leaderboard.

6. Updates and changes

We may update the App at any time to add features, fix bugs, change rules, or rebalance gameplay. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the update.

We may also update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected here and in the App. Continued use after a change to the Terms means you accept the new Terms.

7. Free of charge

The App is currently distributed free of charge with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, advertisements, or paid content. We reserve the right to introduce optional purchases or premium features in the future, but the core gameplay will remain free.

8. Third-party services

The App uses Apple Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and Supabase (auth + database) to provide sign-in and the leaderboard. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their downtime, data practices, or policy changes.

9. No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device, or that the leaderboard will always be available.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DILINX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the App is limited to USD 0, reflecting the free price you paid.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. You may delete your leaderboard account at any time by emailing support@dilinx.com. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, and we may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DILINX is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that location.
